1. What we store
Your account email, screen recordings, generated scripts, generated voiceover audio, timeline edits, and rendered output videos - stored in our database and file storage (Supabase), hosted in West US (North California).
2. Your AI provider API keys
If you add your own Anthropic, ElevenLabs, or HeyGen API key, it is encrypted before storage (AES-256-GCM) and decrypted only at the moment your request needs it. We never log, display, or transmit your key in plaintext outside that single use. We cannot recover your key for you if our encryption key is lost - you would need to generate a new one from that provider and re-enter it.
3. Third parties we share data with
- Stripe - payment processing. We don't store your card details ourselves.
- Anthropic, ElevenLabs, HeyGen - only if you've added your own key for that provider, and only the specific content needed for that request (e.g., sampled video frames sent to Anthropic for script generation).
- Amazon Web Services (Remotion Lambda) - for rendering your final video.
- Resend - for sending you account/billing/render-status emails.
4. What we don't do
We don't sell your data. We don't use your recordings or scripts to train any AI model. We don't share your AI provider keys with anyone, including our own staff in plaintext form.
5. Data retention and deletion
If you cancel your subscription, your account and stored content (recordings, scripts, voiceovers, rendered videos) remain in our systems in case you resubscribe, but are not actively processed. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, email support@tutorialstudioai.com - we'll confirm and complete the deletion within a reasonable timeframe. We do not currently offer automated self-serve account deletion.
6. Your rights
You can request a copy of your stored data, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing support@tutorialstudioai.com. If you are located in the EU/UK or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA respectively; contact us and we will address your request in accordance with applicable law.
